Do I need an appointment?
Our office works by appointment only to ensure you that the certified practitioner will be available to assist you and give you the personal attention needed.
Do I need a prescription?
Due to insurance requirements, we are required to have a detailed prescription. We can only issue prostheses/orthoses to patients who are under the care of a physician.
How much does the appointment cost?
There is no charge for your first consultation. Charges are incurred only upon receipt of the device or product, or in the event that a repair or adjustment is needed that is no longer covered under warranty.
Will my insurance cover my prosthesis/orthosis?
Our services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and most major insurance plans. However, because there are special rules regarding coverage, our office staff will discuss these matters during your first visit. What do I need to bring to my first appointment?
You should bring your prescription and a current copy of your insurance card(s). All new patients will be required to fill out a new patient packet that can be downloaded by clicking here. Having the forms completed in advance will save you time on the day of your evaluation.
Prosthetics & Orthotics FAQs
How long will it take to get my prosthesis/orthosis?
In most cases, more than one visit will be required before the final delivery is made. The actual number of visits is determined by the patient’s particular needs. Usually, subsequent visits are scheduled at one-to two-week intervals.
What if I need an adjustment to my prosthesis/orthosis?
Call our office for an appointment and in most cases the adjustment can be done while you wait.
Am I able to set up a payment plan?
Full payment is expected at the time of completed service. If you are unable to pay in full at the time of service, you may speak with our office staff about a special payment plan.
What is HIPAA and how does it affect me?
HIPAA stands for Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996. Your information will not be released to other parties without prior written consent. You may obtain copies of your records.
